Woman Asks Trenton Police for Ride, Gets Arrested

The following information was supplied by the Trenton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Trenton police arrested a 26-year-old woman after she asked them for a ride at about 1 a.m. Oct. 17 on Fort Street in Trenton.

The woman flagged down a Trenton police officer and told him a man she only knew by the first name had taken all her money and kicked her out of his vehicle, according to a Trenton police report.

The woman said she was unsure why it happened and did not wish to make a police report. She then asked officers for a ride to West Road and I-75.

Police performed a warrant check on the woman and realized she had an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court for sentencing out of Dearborn. She was arrested, transported to Trenton Police Department and held for Dearborn police.
