Trenton Woman Tells Police Her Boyfriend's Ex-Girlfriend Damaged Her Car
The following information was supplied by the Trenton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
A 27-year-old Trenton woman reported to police her car door handle was pulled off by her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend at about 8:30 p.m. April 2 in the 1900 block of Marian Drive.
The woman said she was in her car with her boyfriend the night before, dropping off a child her boyfriend has with his ex-girlfriend, when the ex-girlfriend began trying to open the woman’s driver’s side door.
She said the ex-girlfriend continued to pull on the handle as she began driving the car away.
The woman told police the ex-girlfriend was angry because she and her boyfriend were dropping the child off a half-hour late.
She said she did not know the door handle had broken off until the next day when the child told her, “My mommy has your door handle you know,” according to a Trenton police report.
Police said the ex-girlfriend denied having the door handle or breaking it off.
The woman said she would pursue charges against the ex-girlfriend if possible.
