Trenton Woman Arraigned for Allegedly Robbing Man at Trenton Motor Inn

The following information was supplied by the Trenton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A Trenton woman faces up to 15 years in prison for allegedly robbing a man at the Trenton Motor Inn at about 10 p.m. Jan. 14.

Sandra Carney, 41, of Trenton, was arraigned via video arraignment before Judge Michael McNally of the 33rd District Court Thursday morning.

Carney is charged with unarmed robbery and is considered a habitual offender. She is being held at Wayne County Jail on ten percent of $15,000 bond.

A preliminary examination of the evidence against Carney was set for 9 a.m. Jan. 29 at 33rd District Court.

Carney allegedly met a 55-year-old man on a bus traveling from Detroit to Southgate and invited him back to the Trenton Motor Inn, which she claims is her official residence, according to a Trenton police report.

Upon arriving at the inn Carney and two other men allegedly robbed the man.

The man was transported to Oakwood Southshore Medical Center where he was treated for minor injuries and released.

The two men that were allegedly with Carney the night of the incident were not charged.

Missing piece of the story...."she allededly robbed the man, making off with two pieces of him, a toothpick, one used hanky, and three dollars and fourteen cents in cash". Light a match to that sex-offender, child-molestor infested hotel. Trentonites shouldn't stand for it.
