Trenton police arrested a 16-year-old girl after finding a small amount of marijuana in a plastic bag inside her purse after a traffic stop at about 9 p.m. Feb. 13 at Fort Street north of Sibley Road.

Police said they could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.

Police also found marijuana in a pill bottle under the driver's seat, according to a Trenton police report.

Police handcuffed the girl, placed her in a patrol car and transported her to the Trenton Police Department, where she was issued a violation for violation of the controlled substance act, according to the same report.
