Trenton School Board Member Resigns
District officials have immediately begun searching for someone to fill the position that officially becomes open on Nov. 1.
After six years serving the Trenton Public School district, Trenton Board of Education Trustee Marie Conflitti submitted a letter of resignation Monday.
Conflitti made the announcement to resign effective Nov. 1 at a regularly scheduled board of education meeting.
"It has been a pleasure to serve on a board that holds true to high standards and works diligently to make decisions based on the well-being of children first," Conflitti said in her letter.
Conflitti said she decided to resign after she and her husband recently purchased a house outside the district.

Whether you agreed or disagreed with Ms. Conflittie, everyone deserves credit for doing a service to the schools, a job that very few people are willing to give their time up for. Thank you.
