Trenton police are looking for a white man possibly in his late 20s or 30s with a shaved head and wearing a gray shirt and shorts who allegedly stole a resident's credit cards and went on a shopping spree in Woodhaven and Riverview.

A Trenton resident reported to police someone smashed the passenger side front window of his 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee and stole his wallet at about 6 p.m. July 12 in the parking lot of the Kennedy Recreation Center.

The man's wallet contained his driver's license and four credit cards, including a debit card issued by the man's bank.

While police were taking the man's statement he received a call from a credit card company advising him his card was used at Speedway gas station and Meijer in Woodhaven. The card was used at Meijer to purchase an iPad 64GB 4G and an iPad screen protector for $905.23 and at Speedway to purchase $34.97 worth of gas at about 5:45 p.m.

The credit card company called a second time and informed the man the card was used again at the Riverview Smokehouse at Fort Street and Sibley Road at about 6:19 a.m. Police were unable to make contact with the restaurant.

Police acquired surveillance video of the man making the purchase at Meijer, which gave them a description.

A Wyandotte woman reported her car was broken into at about the same time as the above report while parked in the parking lot at Kennedy Recreation Center.

The woman told police the passenger side front window of her 2008 Ford Explorer was broken out and purse and portable DVD player were missing.

She could not remember what was inside her purse or the value of the purse or DVD player, according to a Trenton police report.
