Trenton Resident: Burglar Entered Through Bedroom Window
The following information was supplied by the Trenton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
Police responded to a call about a burglary at about 11:10 a.m. Jan. 23 in the 200 block of Washington.
A 20-year-old man told police he and a friend left his house at about 9:30 a.m. and returned at about 11 a.m. to find several of his personal items stolen.
The man said a blanket he hangs from his bedroom window was removed. He added he believes a burglar entered his house through his bedroom window.
Items reported stolen were:
- X-Box 360
- X-Box 360 Games
- Electric guitar
- Flat-panel television
- Laptop
- 2 gold bracelets
- 7 gold rings
- 7 gold necklaces
Police checked the backyard and found one set of footprints leading to the man's bedroom window, but the footprints did not appear fresh, according to a Trenton police report.
"Snow was accumulated on the outside of the window sill, but the snow was not disturbed," one officer said in the same report.

I sure hope this 20 year old man has receipts for those 2 gold bracelets, 7 gold rings and 7 gold necklaces. And I hope that the insurance company requires them. ;-)
