Trenton Official: Sale of Former A&W Rejected
A local businessman attempted to purchase the former A&W restaurant located across the street from Elizabeth Park in Downtown Trenton.
Residents and others interested in sipping gourmet coffee from a Michigan-born business at the former A&W site in Downtown Trenton--won't get that chance.
Local businessman Mark Hayes recently made an offer to the real estate company responsible for the property, Signature Associates, which was met with a counter offer. Hayes submitted a counter offer of his own and the sale was rejected.
Wagner would not say how much Hayse offered for the property, but did say "he offered more money than the owner paid for it."
The sale was rejected Friday morning and is no longer on the table.
