Patch Wants to See How You're Enjoying the Snow -- Add Your Photos!
The white snow at Elizabeth Park in Trenton was filled with fresh footprints left by people enjoying the first major snow of winter.
Snowy footprints covered the hills and walkways at Elizabeth Park in Trenton as people from as far away as North Carolina came to enjoy the first major snow of winter Thursday afternoon.
Several people took advantage of the fresh powder by going for a walk, bringing children to play in the snow and taking dogs for a stroll.
Bailey and Nick Graham of North Carolina brought their two children, Dominick and Rayna, to Elizabeth Park for a family photo.
"I grew up in Michigan," Bailey Graham said. "My dad used me to bring me to this park all the time when I was a kid."
Dominick and Rayna Graham ran up and down the snowy hills, while photographer Lia Giannotti of Lia Giannotti Photography in Van Buren Township captured their family fun.
"They haven't seen snow in two years," Bailey Graham said.
Trenton resident Tracie Munguia brought her camera -- too. She snapped photos of her nephew, Brady, and daughter, Aaliyah, playing on a snow covered jungle gym.
Tracie Munguia said she comes to the park almost everyday to spend some mother-daughter time with Aaliyah.
"We decided to come all together today since we finally got snow," Tracie Munguia said. "I didn't think it was going to come."
There are plenty of people taking advantage of the snow in Trenton and Grosse Ile. We want to see how you're enjoying the white stuff.
