Police Blotter: Woman Reports Item Stolen Out of Her Mailbox

The following information was supplied by the Trenton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A 30-year-old woman reported to Trenton police that someone stole a silver bracelet charm out of her mailbox at about 1:15 a.m. Feb. 21 in the 2800 block of Lafayette Drive.

The woman told police she received an empty envelope in the mail that should have contained a charm in the shape of a badge with the word “officer” inscribed on it.

She added her husband had purchased the charm from a person in Pleasant Ridge, MI.

The envelope was torn open on the bottom left corner, according to police.
