Player Profile: Jason Barbosa
One of the most crucial players on this year's team on both sides of the football will be Trenton's All-Downriver standout Jason Barbosa.
PROFILE:
Position: WR, CB
Class: Senior
At a glance: The three-year player will certainly provide quarterback Chad Hamilton's favorite target at wide receiver. He was named to the all-downriver team last season with a team-best 22 catches for 367 yards and two touchdowns.
Perhaps as important, the athletic and sure-handed Barbosa will have to use those hands at the cornerback position locking down the opposing quarterback's favorite targets. The junior defensive back recorded four interceptions and had 23 tackles for the Trojans last season.
IN HIS WORDS:
On last season: "We were lacking leadership a lot and we were kind of slow. For me, it was fun. I got to play both ways."
On upcoming season: "I'm looking to just get some wins for Trenton. I think we've got a pretty good chance of making it to the playoffs."
Plans after school: "Go to college, hopefully. If not, joining the military."
FIVE FUN FACTS:
Favorite TV show: Scrubs
Last artist put on iPod: Eminem
Thing most afraid of: Losing
Last book read: Lord of the Flies
