Man Arrested in Trenton With Marijuana in Glove Box

Trenton police arrested a 21-year-old man with over two grams of marijuana found his car at about 8:25 p.m. Feb. 7 near West Jefferson Avenue and Slocum Street.
A Trenton police officer began following the man in his car after he made two right turns without signaling. The officer then made a traffic stop.
The officer said he could smell the odor of raw marijuana coming from the vehicle. He conducted a K-9 search and received a positive result. The officer had the man and a 23-year-old female passenger exit the vehicle.
Police found a cigarette box in the glove compartment containing 6 marijuana cigarettes. The man stated that the marijuana was his and that the woman had nothing to do with it, according to a Trenton police report.
Police arrested the man and transported him to the Trenton Police Department.
