Man Arrested for Marijuana Possession in Trenton

Trenton police arrested a 21-year-old man after finding him in possession of about two grams of marijuana during a traffic stop at about 1:20 a.m. Dec. 30 near Fort Street and Van Horn Road.
A Trenton police officer said he made the traffic stop after the man made a prohibited left turn from westbound West Road to southbound Fort Street.
The arresting officer said he detected a strong odor of marijuana during the traffic stop. He ask the driver if there was anything illegal in the vehicle and the man said, "yes," according to a Trenton police report. The man told police he had some Vicodin, which was prescribed to him.
The officer then asked if the man had any marijuana in the car and he said, "no," according to the same report.
The officer searched the car and found a marijuana grinder and a medicine vial that both contained marijuana. The officer also found a marijuana pipe with residue in the man's right front pocket.
The man was placed under arrest and transported to the Trenton Police Department. He was issued violations for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and prohibited right turn.
