Legends 1926 Bar and Grill Could Reopen Friday
Customers of the new restaurant at Kennedy Recreation Center in Trenton will see new wall decorations and a new pizza oven.
The new restaurant at Kennedy Recreation Center was closed temporarily last week for improvements and could reopen as early as Friday -- just in time for the Trenton-Wyandotte football game.
Mike Bayoff of Legends 1926 Bar and Grill said updates are being made to the kitchen and decor of the dining area and should be complete Friday or Saturday.
Bayoff said Kennedy Restaurant LLC, the company that owns Legends, is bringing in new partners, which prompted them to upgrade the pizza oven and add new photos and memorabilia to the walls in the dining area.
"We're just looking forward to getting the restaurant up and running now that hockey season is here so, we can service all the people at Kennedy Recreation Center," Bayoff said.

So, let me understand this whole process. They opened in the Spring, closed at the end of Summer, didn't pay any bills and now they are going to REOPEN? @natestemen: Have all of the issues been settled?

What people haven't heard about this is the fact that they owe many other people and not just the city of trenton. Better look into this further Nate, more to this story than what is being said. There is a rumor that several employees were not paid their last pay checks. Again, id be surprised if they ever reopened.

TO: a little bird 2 & Suzyq - If you've "HEARD" so much on the street why not come right out and say everything you know? You dance around the story, but have NO facts other than RUMORS, If you know all the issues why not tell Nate Stemen so a decent article can be written instead of you two having " people on the street" and "people heard"??

Decent Person: This is why I love America....a good debate! I have followed this story with great interest, as the Ice Arena has been a source of healthy debate for several years, ever since the addition was put on. All of my comments have been based on FACT, published here on the Patch and also as part of the TELEVISED CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS. As you may well know, being a "Decent Person" who has obviously had High School Government classes, that any information, (barring legal issues), council minutes, etc are all PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE and available to anyone. FACT: They opened, they closed, they are behind on their bills, and they plan to reopen. All reported right here on the Patch. Nate has done a great job keeping everyone up to date, as it is his right, freedom of the press. May I have the next dance, Decent Person?

This is the never ending story. No one can give a straight answer. Just like the Riverside Hospital project, will the residents be stuck holding the bag? Has the City been paid? It seems to have dropped off the radar.
