Kid Rock's Music Video Depicts McLouth Steel in Trenton
Kid Rock made the former McLouth Steel site a major setting in the music video for his hit song, "Let's Ride" taken from his new album Rebel Soul.
The former McLouth Steel property in Trenton was used to shoot a music video for Kid Rock's hit song, "Let's Ride" in October and the video was recently released on You Tube.

In the video, Rock and his band play their instruments and sing out loud among the green glass windows and soot-covered walls of the McLouth Steel building.
While the song plays, images of war and suffering flash upon the screen.
Toward the end of the video, Kid Rock strolls through the property and viewers get a better look at the site selected to shoot the video.

Would have loved to see them blow it up in the finale, and then, yes, the Riverside Prop too!! Love how we use our downtown for a war zone.

I use to live across from the steel mill when i was a kid on west jefferson, that place is a landmark and needs to be preserved as a piece of downrivers history. Also i think they should give zack bagans"s and his Ghost Adventures crew permission to investigate that site.

My brother worked at McLouth since he was19 yrs old (for 30 years). When he lost his job he was forced to move back to Tennessee never to work in a "real" job again. He died broken hearted and broke. He never got his pension, too young. The closing of that plant and others reflects how fragile our country is at this time. I think the producers of this video were looking for that frailty and that lonely deserted place. They found it.
Trenton will always be to me that wonderful place I lived when I was a young married.Great friends and great memories! Miss you all Michigan!!!I even miss the snow!

Broken lives, broken dreams, broken marriages, broken hearts! That's what McLouth has left in it's wake! My heart bleeds every time I see the skeleton of what once was mine and many others lives.
