Aging Historical Museum in Need of Donations
The Trenton Historical Museum is over 100 years old and is beginning to show its age.
Just because something is old doesn't mean it should be forgotten.
The Trenton Historical Commission is seeking donations to fix up the Trenton Historical Museum.
Built in the late 1800s the building is over 100 years old and beginning to show its age.
A 2,000 piece puzzle was created to help interest people in donating to the cause and will be on display at different locations throughout Trenton. The puzzle is currently on display at Trenton City Hall.
Those willing to donate can sponsor the museum by purchasing a piece of the puzzle for $30.
Each time a puzzle piece is purchased the puzzle gets that much closer to completion.
The Historical Commission estimate they will need about $60,000 to get the historical museum back into fighting shape.
Puzzle pieces can be purchased at Trenton City Hall.
You can also donate through the Trenton Fire Fighter Charities.
Email Carol Hendricks for more information.
The museum is open Saturdays from 1 to 4 p.m.
