UPDATED: Former Mayor Gerald Brown Suffers Heart Attack

Trenton's former Mayor Gerald Brown suffered a heart attack Friday night.

 

Former Trenton Mayor Gerald Brown is feeling better after suffereing a heart attack Friday night according to Bill Jasman of the Trenton Rotary Club.

Brown underwent surgery at Oakwood Southshore Medical Center following the heart attack and is feeling better and recovering at home.

Brown said he feels better now than he did the day of his heart attack.

"It scared me and it scared my family," Brown said. "I've bounced back, even after a full-blown heart attack."

Brown spent 10 years as mayor of the City of Trenton and currently serves as a Trenton Rotarian.

Ironically, I spoke with Jerry on Friday driving by his home and seeing him doing yard work. We just never know what what lies ahead of us as time is so precious. I wish him all the best and a speedy recovery.
