The gala was said to be the “must attend event of the year” by the Trenton Business Association.
This year’s gala is four years in the making and there won’t be a single detail overlooked according to DYPAC Administrative Director Debbie Jackson.
The gala is set for June 9 from 5:30 p.m. to midnight the following morning.
This year’s gala was designed to raise money to fix the lighting and sound systems at the Trenton Village Theatre.
The theater is home to DYPAC, where volunteers and employees spend countless hours working with children interested in the performing arts.
“Our lighting and sound systems are in need of major updating and we hope you will attend this exciting event,” Jackson said in a recent release from the Trenton Business Association.
The Garden of Eden themed gala is sure to excite the senses with elaborate props including the Tree of Life and the Ark.
Parents of DYPAC students have been volunteering their time for nearly a year in preparation for the event.
The night promises ongoing entertainment by current DYPAC performers and a group of a alumni.
The Rhapsody in Southgate will provide food in the form of a strolling dinner where guests can eat while enjoying the sights and sounds of DYPAC.
There will also be live music from Larry Lee and Back in the Day and an African Drumming Troupe – along with other surprise entertainment throughout the evening.
Participants can engage in live and silent auctions, and each guest will have an opportunity to win a one-karat diamond when purchasing a hand-blown glass apple.
Tickets for the event are $100 each.
