Coming Soon: We're Expanding Trenton Patch to Include Grosse Ile
We're excited about covering both communities, and hope you'll help us spread the good news.
You’ve been telling us you’d like to see more Grosse Ile faces and issues in Patch—and we’ve heard you. Very soon, we’ll be adding on to Trenton Patch to include Grosse Ile.
Many Grosse Ile residents shop, work or go to school in Trenton. Many Trenton residents go to Grosse Ile for a number of reasons including shopping, dining and recreation. Bringing news and information of both communities is the right thing to do.
Here are some of the exciting benefits this will bring to both communities:
- All of the businesses will be part of our extensive community directory, called Patch Places. Business owners will be invited to claim their listing as soon as the site expansion takes place. And readers will have a resource for finding every business in Trenton and Grosse Ile.
- We've been covering Grosse Ile related news since day one of Trenton Patch including news and real estate to name a few. The expansion will increase the frequecy and depth of our coverage on Downriver's favorite island.
- The close proximity of the two communities makes our Announcements page, Events Calendar and Neighborhood Gallery the perfect place to share past, present and future events with neighbors on either side of the Detroit River.
- We’ll bring you regular coverage of the issues and events close to home. We’ve already been doing that with Trenton and will start covering Grosse Ile with the same pride and tenecity.
So often we've found that community stories in one town are of interest to residents of the other, so it seems easier to have it in one place—right here on what will soon be called Trenton-Grosse Ile Patch.
This is meant to help us provide better coverage of the things that matter to residents of both communities - which is always something we’re striving to do! But as always, if you think we're missing anything, let us know.
If you are one of our Grosse Ile readers already, please help us spread the word! Likewise, if you have any news tips, please send them to Local Editor Nate Stemen.
