Blotter: Facebook Pest; Car Stuck in Wash; Officer Assaulted

A man assaulted a police officer, a car got stuck in a car wash and a woman was harassed via Facebook.

 

Man Assaults Police Officer

Police arrested a 54-year-old man in an assault on a police officer at about 5 p.m. Jan. 16 in the 2000 block of West Jefferson Avenue.

Police told the man to leave the property at the request of apartment management.

Police said that after the man shouted several curse words at them, he raised his left hand struck one of the officers in the chest.

Police advised the man he was under arrest, escorted him out of the building and handcuffed him outside near the sidewalk.

The man was taken to Trenton Police Department where he was processed. He was unable to post the required $500 bond, and was lodged.

 Car Gets Stuck in Car Wash

A woman reported to police at about 2 p.m. Jan. 16 that her car became stuck inside of a car wash on Fort Street and was damaged.

According to police, the woman’s car got stuck in the car wash and an unknown mechanical device hit the driver’s side front quarter panel causing damage.
Car wash employees had to push the car out of the wash because it no longer worked properly.

Police said the car had about $1,000 worth of damage.

Woman Harassed Via Facebook

A 21-year-old woman reported to police that she was being harassed via Facebook at about 1 a.m. Jan. 16 in the 3000 block of Brookshire Street.

According to police, the woman said she had recently moved to Trenton from Florida after breaking up with her boyfriend. She added that some of her ex-boyfriend’s family members are upset at her over the break up and accusations she has made against the family.

Police said the woman had received a threatening message on her Facebook from one of the family members. The message stated that this person was going to blow the woman up by putting a pipe bomb in her backside.

The woman told police she was very concerned about the threat. Police told the woman to save any future messages and took a copy of the initial message as evidence.
