Trenton Patch has been buzzing around Trenton recently speaking to local business owners and asking them the same basic five questions. With Father’s Day almost upon us, we decided to help our readers find a couple of places to go for last-minute gifts.
This week Patch freelancer Frank Wladyslawski caught up with Trenton Lighthouse owner Frank Chakrabarty.
Trenton Lighthouse is located just outside the entrance to Elizabeth Park, at 3021 W Jefferson Ave.
Here are the five questions followed by Chakrabarty's responses:
When did you first open?
What do you like about owning a business in Trenton. Do you like being in this community?
"I enjoy my business. I like my customers, that’s the main thing. If you like the job, that’s real important.
"The community is good, the people are good."
How did you end up choosing the name Trenton Lighthouse?
"(I’m in) Trenton and I like lighthouses."
Is the week leading up to Father’s Day usually a busy week for you?
"Normally it would be. I’m not sure about this time because of the economy because everything seems to be turned around. Our economy is just not where it should be; I can tell that in the last four years. Hopefully we'll be alright."
What items or services do you have that would be great Father’s Day gifts?
"We carry everything in the fishing line, (such as) fillet knives, fishing rods and reels."
