Former nurse and Trenton resident Helen J. Horvath died Friday, July 8. She was 84. Forty years of nursing, along with many years of caring for those in need, was a central purpose throughout her life. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and was active in St. Joseph’s Women’s Guild.

Horvath is survived by her husband, Edward Sr.; her son, Edward Jr.; her grandchildren,  Michele, Kristi, Timorie and Meghan; her niece, Karen; her nephew, Richard, as well as many friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Diann. 

A Funeral Mass will be said at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 15, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2623 Third St., in Trenton. Inurnment will be at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery in Brownstown Township. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes in Trenton.
